Lentorata is a planned new rail connection that will run from Pasila via Helsinki Airport to the area south of Kerava station. Lentorata Oy is responsible for planning the railway until it is ready for construction. As part of the project, the company assesses the environmental and societal impacts of the railway, its long-term benefits, project costs, financing options, and potential operating models.
Tulus first partnered with Lentorata Oy in 2024 to support the update of the project’s sustainability programme. The collaboration continued in 2025 with the development of a sustainability communications plan and the visual design and production of the company’s first sustainability report. Our graphic designer created the report in line with Lentorata Oy’s visual identity and produced custom infographics to support its sustainability communications.
Following the success of the first publication, Tulus also designed and produced the 2026 Sustainability Report, continuing the collaboration.

Results
Tulus helped Lentorata sharpen its sustainability programme and develop a clear communications strategy. The sustainability reports were designed as clean, accessible, and easy-to-read publications that bring together complex sustainability information into a coherent and engaging format. Carefully designed infographics and data visualisations complement the written content and make key information easier to understand.
“Working with Tulus has been both smooth and enjoyable. A big thank you for your flexible approach! Especially during the production of our first report, it was impressive to see how extensive text, tables, and images were transformed into a coherent, reader-friendly publication by true professionals.”
About the Project
The Lentorata railway will provide direct long-distance rail connections to Helsinki Airport, significantly reducing travel times from across Finland. In addition to faster journeys, the new line will increase rail capacity on the busy Pasila–Kerava corridor and improve the reliability of rail transport nationwide. Approximately 24 kilometres of the railway will run underground in tunnels.
The project is currently in the detailed railway planning phase and is expected to reach construction readiness in early 2028. Lentorata Oy is jointly owned by the Finnish Government and the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, and Lahti.
